Here is a collection of playlists, each based on a different type of work I have undertaken, or a method of work used. For a wider selection of my work, visit my YouTube Channel or for a smaller selection visit Music Video Work Completed.

Single Camera Productions (Playlist) |
Performance-based Music Videos (Single Camera) Here are a handful of videos completed by using just one camera – but making the band or performer mime to playback multiple times. This is known as ‘single camera production’; it is cheaper to hire just one camera and operator – but for good results you need to film repeated takes. It can be cheaper to hire a studio for a long time, but just hire one high quality (expensive) camera. |
|
Multi-Camera Production (Playlist) |
Performance-based Music Videos (Multi-Camera) A selection of music videos, mainly of live performances, featuring multi-camera production. Instead of using only one camera, several cameras are used. Many cameras are used to film on take, or, a handful of cameras take multiple tales, but fewer takes are needed compared to using just one camera. |
|
Live Recordings (Playlist) |
Live Studio Performance Video All these videos were from sessions where the audio was recorded live (and possibly re-mixed in post-production). In all cases, multiple cameras were used. At least four, usually six or seven, cameras were used. Most would be not be operated; at least one camera would be hand-held. |

Performance/Narrative Music Videos (Playlist) |
Performance/Narrative-based Music Video This is a selection of music videos that incorporate, to some degree, some staged, dramatic scenes. These don’t necessarily represent a story, but show characters or situations taken from the song. These are usually inter-cut with more conventional footage of the band or artists performing. |
|
Abstract/Narrative Music Videos (Playlist) |
Abstract/Performance-based Music Video This is a selection of music videos that incorporate, to some degree, some staged, dramatic moments or footage, that do not bare any direct relation to the music or lyrics. They are inspired by ideas and may not represent a literal representation of ideas in the song. These are usually inter-cut with more conventional footage of the band or artists performing. |
|
Composited Music Videos (Playlist) |
Composited Footage Music Videos This selection of videos used compositing in post-production to some degree. The green-screen footage of “Be Myself” all had to composited with other footage and graphics; odd shots of Orson Welles were placed into “Strawman” and entire shots from “Apocalypse Now” were combined with live/mimed footage of Free Control. |
|
FKA “Be Myself” (Playlist) |
Green Screen Music Video Right now, I have only made one music video using a green screen. This playlist includes a short ‘making of’ video to show what I did to obtain the footage before putting it all together in post-production. |
|
Mixed Footage Music Videos (Playlist) |
Mixed Footage Music Videos These are music videos which, as a foundation, use studio footage I filmed. However, they mainly rely on footage recorded by the band themselves, their fans, and, in the case of Free Control, footage of Orson Welles or from “Apocalypse Now”. The result are dynamic videos created through inter-cutting between a variety of footage. |
